Old Whittington One-Place Study

I started this study initially to record the lives of the men who died in the First World War from Whittington and The Brushes and whose names are commemorated on the War Memorial in the village.

My intention is to use the information I find to link people and trades and try to paint a picture of life in Old Whittington.

I want to record Old Whittington family stories and the resources I will be using include census records, parish records, military records , maps , Military History websites and newspaper reports amongst others. Hopefully, in time, there may be personal family recollections from people who had or have ancestors living in Whittington.

My plan is to transcribe the census for 1841 and eventually parish records for people to use the website as a resource in future.
