Study Description

This a place we visit and is a civil parish as well as a village. It has some notable buildings and some literary associations which I am interested in exploring. The Castle is the most obviously ancient building and there are two main streets. There is also a heritage railway which passes through on its way to the seaside resort of Swanage. The parish includes the smaller hamlet of Kington and two stretches of coastline on the Jurassic coast and on the Poole Harbour coast.
