West Lulworth is famous for its Cove, once frequented by paddle steamers, and the much-photographed Durdle Door. In 1881, its population was less than its neighbour East Lulworth but now is around four times more. In 1911 the largest trade was fishing but now the focus is tourism which brings with it many challenges.
