Publicity & Events Manager

With membership moving ever closer to the 100 mark, the Society is now looking to expand on its personnel. Having set the wheels in motion, we are now keen to promote our organisation more widely and that's where we need your help!

Over the last 4 months since we launched the Society, many people have expressed their surprise that an organisation specialising in the study of a particular place has not been on the landscape for decades. Well, we are here now and clearly, we need to reach out and tell people we are here.

Therefore, we need a Publicity and Events Manager, responsible for publicising the Society and coordinate the organisation of events across the globe. The Committee has approved a job description for the post which is available in the Members' Area, detailing the requirements and specific tasks, though this is certainly not exhaustive!

We are asking for 'Expressions of Interest' in the first instance and these are requested on or before Thursday 6 February 2014 to Janet Few, our Vice Chair. She will also be able to answer any further questions you have about the post.
