The English Corners Project reconstructs the families of those buried in the Columbus, Ontario, cemeteries and seeks to graphically represent the inter-connections among those families. It is related to the St Blazey (Cornwall) Families project, since many of the families came from St Blazey to Columbus (whose early name was English Corners). The project actually includes much of East Whitby Township, as well as adjacent townships.

Population
The study covers the period prior to 1850 but also includes all those named on the stones in the Columbus cemeteries. The number of people has yet to be established, but when ancestors and descendants are included, there will probably be on the order of 3,000 or more.
