Study Description

The Chicago Grand Crossing Czech Community Project reconstructs the Czech-American families of Grand Crossing from documentary records. Analytical maps and lists (e.g. who were the midwives?) are also included.

The initial work focuses on 1875-1900 but will expand to include the life of the community up to about 1960.

There were about 300-500 families in 1900.
