Modrejovice One-Place Study

The village of Modřejovice includes families who intermarried over the generations, making a complex family thicket. Only 70 houses, all within a short walk along the two main roads made it a geographically compact community. The parish church was just to the east at Slabce. While the community did mostly stay in tact, the younger sons and daughters had to marry out from the family home. Thus, there has been connection within families from all the nearby villages The initial purpose of the study is to gather the parish church records and reconstruct the families.
