Study Description

Linslade is now twinned with Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, but was once a town in its own right in Buckinghamshire. A few miles from the A5 with the Grand Union Canal and London Northwestern Railway passing through. The River Ouzel once marked the boundary between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, as well as between Leighton and Linslade. First mentioned in 966, and famous for the Great Train Robbery, it has a fascinating history. This study will look at some of those events and the people that lived and worked there.
