Bishops Nympton or Nymett Episcopi was an estate held by the Bishop of Exeter. I have a number of families that can be found in Bishops Nympton and surrounding area back prior to the start of the Parish Registers in the mid 1500s. I have transcribed the entire set of registers up to the 1980s and receive queries. Visited Bishops Nympton in 2008 and found the gravestone of my 3x great grandfather Robert Pincombe and Elizabeth Rowcliffe. We intend to visit again and spend a little longer time in the village and surrounding area.
