Study Description

This is a focus on St Mary’s churchyard, West Worlington.

In 1957 a layout drawing of the graves was made, accompanied by a numbered key of those buried in each plot. But the plan had faded over time and become almost illegible. This simple layout plan has now been replaced by a watercolour aerial perspective, along with a new list of names, which has been framed and hung in the church for visitors searching for their ancestors’ burial sites.

My study is to research the individuals buried in the churchyard and tell their stories.

Timeframe

1820-1957
