As an enthusiastic genealogist who has lived in this road for 45 years and attended school at the Manor House at the end of the road for 12 years, it was only a matter of time before I recorded the history of this small corner of North London. But although I have been gathering information for this research for many years, it was not until I was confined at home during the Covid pandemic that I put everything in order and produced a website to share with neighbours.
The 47 properties in the road were built in three waves – 1898, 1910 and about 1924 – with the middle wave being most challenging as the builders had to fill in a moat before building these twenty houses on the central island!
