This is a study of the town of Haslingden in Lancashire. Haslingden is a historic mill town, home to cobbled streets, an 18th Century merchant’s house and many 19th Century buildings. Markets have been held there since at least 1555.
The purpose of this study is to bring together previously published information on the town and to discover as much as possible about the lives of the people who lived there before the First World War.
