The village of Great Ellingham is approximately 2.3 miles north-west of the town of Attleborough. My interest in Great Ellingham stems from living in the village for over 40 years. My particular aim is to research as many of the families as I can whose names appear in the parish registers, the census returns and any other documents relating to the village that I can uncover and to look at these families in context within the periods in which they lived in the village. This study is in its early stages. I hope to be able to create a website in the future.
