Compton Dundon was home to some of my ancestors for at least 300 years and so it seemed like a natural process to study the village as well as my family history. The study is very much in its infancy but I am particularly interested in migration in and out of the village and changing occupations. My grandfather Henry Green founded the Garage in the village in 1926 and was also sub-postmaster there although it was my grandmother Harriet Louisa’s initials over the door of the Post Office and shop.
I would love to hear from anyone with Compton Dundon connections.
