My Great-great grandfather, Patrick Doyle, emigrated from Drummin, Co Wicklow, Ireland in the 1840s. My first record is a marriage record to Mary Flynn in 1853 in Newark identifying Thomas Doyle as his father. Using DNA, I have found and met potential 3rd cousins which pointed to the areas of Drummin, Laragh, and Glendalough. Due to record loss, it is difficult to prove the connection genealogically. I am researching this area with fingers crossed that I will find more information about him and the his reason for emigration.
